The National Law Journal has named Houston partner, Trey Peacock, among the 20 “Winning Litigators” for 2020. This annual National Law Journal List describes the honorees as “masters of the courtroom” who tackled some of the most widely watched cases of the year.
In recognizing Peacock, NLJ focused on his many wins for clients within just a six-month period of 2020, totaling nearly $100 million in value. These include winning a $40 million judgment for Repeat Precision after a federal court bench trial in a fraud and breach of contract lawsuit brought by Diamondback Industries; winning $16 million for a Fortune 50 company related to Deepwater Horizon spill; and winning summary judgment on a $40 million breach of contract claim brought in arbitration against Mostyn Law Firm.
The profile also includes trial tips from Peacock that he says are key to his success such as mastering the technical and financial details of the data and science in a case and simply enjoying what you do as a litigator because, as Peacock says, “It’s truly fun.”
