Los Angeles Partner Davida Brook has been named among the Top 100 Lawyers in California by The Daily Journal. Brook has previously been recognized by Daily Journal as one of the Top 40 Under 40 Lawyers in California in 2018 and one of the Top Women Lawyers in California in 2017 and 2021.
Often at the helm of the country’s most cutting edge, prominent cases, Brook’s practice focuses on commercial litigation at every level. In 2021 Brook filed $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit against Fox News on behalf of Dominion Voting Services. She is also trying similar cases on behalf of Dominion against Rudy Giuliani, Sidney Powell, Mike Lindell and MyPillow, Patrick Byrne, One America News Network (OAN), and Newsmax. Brook and her team have already secured several important judicial decisions in these cases, including defeating motions to dismiss by Fox News, Sidney Powell, Rudy Giuliani, and Mike Lindell and MyPillow.
Brook is also currently litigating two landmark cases against Mindgeek’s PornHub and Reddit over allegations of sex trafficking and child pornography. In 2021, working pro bono, she successfully represented Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs and Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers in separate lawsuits brought to try and prevent the counting of every legally cast vote in the 2020 presidential election. Two of the cases were dismissed after Brook and her team filed motions to dismiss. A third case, brought by President Trump, was dismissed following a bench trial in which Brook represented Governor Evers.
